Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn the end-to-end process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans. You will review documents, assist clients, and help with year-end filings from a remote work environment.

Through accelerated training and practical experience, you will grow from document review to handling basic plan administration tasks, with opportunities to advance in a company committed to ESOP and long-term client success.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily job responsibilities.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience, including 401(k) or IRA administration, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans with only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including the IRS Form 5500.
• Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan and 401(k) plan documents.
