The role focuses on negotiating resolutions for delinquent accounts, building rapport with borrowers, and achieving recovery goals while maintaining compliance and professional standards.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in third-party debt collection, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently from a home office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of third-party debt collection experience.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound collection calls to negotiate resolutions on delinquent accounts.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement agreements based on borrowers' financial circumstances.
• Utilize skip-tracing tools and investigative techniques to locate borrowers and assets.
• Manage assigned account portfolios and prioritize collection activities to maximize recovery opportunities.
• Work toward individual and departmental performance goals.
• Maintain accurate and detailed account documentation.
• Deliver professional, respectful customer interactions while navigating difficult conversations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable debt collection laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain consistent communication with management and team members while working remotely.
