Job summary

Cosmo 1:1, formerly ClassUp, connects K-12 students in the US, Canada, and across Asia with tutors from top universities for personalized lessons. You will teach either math or ELA to North America-based students using the Cosmo curriculum with a flexible, set schedule.

This independent contractor role offers 50-minute 1-on-1 sessions, a reliable schedule, and the opportunity to build a welcoming learning environment as students grow. Compensation is $20 USD per class plus incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA or math.
• Experience with K-12 ELA or math standards.
• Fast and reliable internet connection.
• Access to a Windows or Mac PC with a capable CPU.
• Commitment to at least 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available 3–10 PM EST Mon–Fri or weekends.
• Minimum 20 hours of weekly availability.
• Private and quiet location required.
• Currently located in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
