Job summary

Cosmo 1:1, formerly ClassUp, online learning platform connecting K-12 students with tutors from top universities for personalized lessons. Teachers set a flexible weekly schedule for 50-minute 1-on-1 sessions.

This independent contractor role focuses on math or ELA for North America-based students using the Cosmo curriculum. Expect reliable attendance, prepared materials, and professional communication with families.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA or math.
• Experience with K-12 ELA or math standards.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available between 3-10 PM EST Monday through Friday or during the weekends.
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basis.
• Access to a private and quiet location.
• Passion for helping students learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
