Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is an online learning platform connecting K-12 students with tutors from top universities for personalized lessons. As a tutor you will teach math or ELA to students based in North America using the Cosmo curriculum, with a flexible schedule and 50-minute 1 on 1 sessions.

This independent contractor role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of teaching K-12 ELA or math, reliable internet, and a quiet home workspace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA or math.
• Experience with K-12 ELA or math standards.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and a Windows or Mac PC.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months.
• Available between 3-10 PM EST Monday through Friday or weekends.
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability weekly.
• Access to a private and quiet location.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
