Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp) is seeking experienced ESL educators to teach one-on-one lessons to K-12 students. You set a flexible schedule and teach ESL/ELA using the Cosmo curriculum, with sessions of 50 minutes. This is an independent contractor role paying $20 USD per class plus incentives.

Requirements include a Bachelor's, 3 years’ K-12 ELA/ESL experience, and a reliable internet connection. This opportunity connects you with students in the US, Canada, and Asia in a flexible after-school

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Must be based in United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
