Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp) is seeking ESL tutors to work with K-12 students worldwide. This is an independent contractor role with a flexible, self-set schedule.

You will teach ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum, providing 50-minute 1-on-1 lessons. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, 3 years of K-12 ELA/ESL/EFL teaching, TEFL preferred, a reliable internet connection, and availability 6–9 AM EST on weekdays or weekends, with at least 20 hours weekly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for teaching positions.
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Reliable internet connection and a Windows or Mac PC meeting minimum specs.
• Able to commit to at least 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 ESL instruction to students.
• Prepare age-appropriate lesson materials and adapt to student needs.
• Submit class feedback after each lesson and maintain professional communication with parents.
• Maintain punctual, reliable attendance for scheduled classes.
