Job summary

Cosmo 1:1, formerly ClassUp, is seeking tutors to teach 1:1 to K-12 students in North America using the Cosmo curriculum. You will meet weekly at a set time for 50-minute lessons online.

As an independent contractor, you set your schedule and classrooms, providing a welcoming environment. A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of K-12 ELA/ESL/EFL experience, reliable internet, and availability 3–10 PM EST Mon–Fri or weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Minimum 3 years teaching K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a Windows or Mac PC.
• Available 3–10 PM EST weekdays or weekends.
• Minimum 20 hours of weekly availability.
• Currently located in United States or Canada.
• Approachable, patient, adaptive, and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
