Job summary

Cosmo 1:1, formerly ClassUp, is seeking ESL tutors to conduct 1:1 lessons with K-12 students. Teachers set a flexible weekly schedule and teach with the Cosmo curriculum for learners in the US, Canada, Asia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience in ELA/ESL/EFL, and reliable internet. TEFL is preferred. Independent contractor status with pay of $20 per class plus incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 years of teaching K-12 ELA/ESL/EFL experience.
• TEFL is preferred but not required.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• Stable internet and a quiet teaching space.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
