Job summary
Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our Glendale, AZ facility. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on high-speed beverage production lines, serving as the on-shift controls expert and collaborating with operations, maintenance, engineering and quality teams.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of industrial automation experience, strong PLC/HMI/VFD and network skills, and can mentor technicians.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in engineering tech or automation
- 4+ years of industrial automation on high-speed lines
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting abilities
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert for high-speed beverage lines
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for PLC, HMI, VFD, servo and network issues
- Diagnose problems and implement permanent corrective actions in equipment and processes
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability and throughput
- Support commissioning, upgrades, new installations, and system integrations
- Mentor and train maintenance technicians and operators
