Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an experienced on-site Controls Engineer to support a high-speed beverage production line in our Glendale, AZ facility. You will write and modify ladder logic and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers on running equipment.

The role requires 4+ years in industrial automation, strong Allen-Bradley expertise, and the ability to mentor maintenance staff. This is a salaried, day-rotation position with relocation assistance and a 20% annual bonus.

Qualifications

4+ years of industrial automation experience on high-speed production lines
Hands-on PLC programming, not just troubleshooting: write/modify ladder logic in Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000
Strong troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo/motion, and networks
Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings
Willingness to work 12-hour 2-2-3 day rotation (6:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Responsibilities

Serve as the on-shift controls and automation expert across the plant
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated processing, filling, canning, conveying, and packaging equipment
Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues and restore production
Identify recurring problems and implement permanent corrective actions (PLC/HMI changes)
Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability and throughput
Support commissioning, upgrades, new installations, and system integration
Mentor maintenance technicians and operators
