Job summary
Electrical Automation Services seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to support on-site automation at our Glendale, AZ facility. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs on running beverage production lines, acting as the on-shift controls expert across operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams.
The role emphasizes hands-on PLC/HMI work, reading schematics, and leading automation-focused improvements.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in industrial automation on high-speed production lines.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo motors, and industrial networks.
- Willingness to work a 12-hour 2-2-3 day rotation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated equipment.
- Diagnose PLC/HMI/VFD/servo and network issues to restore production.
- Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance techs and operators.
