Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, management, and execution of assigned construction projects. This role requires relocation to the project site; the location noted does not reflect the project site.

You will assist in budgets, schedules, and coordination with the project superintendent and owners. Responsibilities include pre-construction planning, subcontract negotiations, and keeping up with plans, specs, and permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 3+ years of experience on ground-up commercial projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and blueprints.
• Ethics and strong organizational skills.
• Spanish basics preferred.
• Proficient with project management software.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of estimates, project budgets and cost reports.
• Organizes pre-construction planning meetings and coordinates schedules.

• Develops and maintains owner relationships and project documentation.
