Layton Construction is seeking a qualified professional to develop and manage a comprehensive job plan for assigned projects. You will work under the Site Superintendent and with the Project Manager to ensure timely, safe, and on‑budget completion.

This national role requires relocation and close collaboration with architects, owners, and field teams. You will review plans, craft schedules, procure resources, and track progress while maintaining safety and quality standards across phases of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of building codes and blueprints.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using BIM360 or similar and ability to learn new software.
• Craft skills in concrete or building trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to understand job requirements.
• Develop job plans including schedule, access, and manpower.
• Procure tools, labor and some materials.
• Interact with architects and owners to resolve issues.
• Communicate progress to supervisors, clients, and coordinate phases.
• Inspect work to ensure conformance with specs and schedules.
• Manage project progress using reports and cost data.
• Track and price extra work tickets and change orders.
• Adhere to safety policies and company ethics.
• Support Project Manager in preparing the Project Management Plan.
