Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an Assistant Project Manager to assist in planning, management, and execution of work on assigned construction projects. This role may handle multiple projects, striving to meet quality, owner expectations, and profitability.

The position requires relocation to the project site; relocation is mandatory as stated. You will support budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with project teams and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 3+ years in ground-up commercial projects, preferably light industrial or cold storage.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; knowledge of building codes and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, management, and execution of construction projects.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, and cost reports; track progress.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings and subcontractor negotiations.
• Maintain owner relationships and ensure project profitability.
