Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in planning, management, and execution of ground-up commercial projects. This on-site role may involve working on one or more projects at a time, coordinating with superintendents, owners, architects, and subcontractors to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.

Relocation to project sites nationwide is required; the position emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and a commitment to Layton's values of integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities are required.
• Understanding of building codes, blueprint reading, and construction laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, management, and execution of construction projects.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, and unit cost reports with the project team.
• Coordinate pre-construction planning and subcontractor negotiations.
• Develop project schedules, track milestones, and monitor progress.
• Support quality, safety, and risk management plans across projects.
• Maintain owner relationships and assist with close-out procedures.
