Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, management, and execution on assigned ground-up commercial projects. This on-site role requires relocation to project locations nationwide; posted location may not reflect site.

You will assist in budgets, scheduling, subcontract negotiation, and client relations, while upholding The Layton Way and Constructing with Integrity. A CM degree and 3+ years in construction are preferred; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in ground-up commercial construction.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with blueprints, codes, and permits.
• Professional ethics and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, management, and execution of construction projects.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, and cost reports.
• Organize pre-construction planning and scheduling.
• Negotiate subcontracts and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor safety, quality, and risk plans.
• Ensure timely progress and client satisfaction.
