Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners is seeking a Controls Engineer to join our Atlanta-area manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and uptime within an Allen Bradley PLC environment.

The role involves collaborating across departments to support or lead projects from initiation through completion, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience and/or training; preferred at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations and CI initiatives.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on production equipment from 24V control circuits to 480V equipment; diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Provide controls engineering expertise for projects: electrical circuit and control system design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Lead projects by coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal departments, external contractors, and vendors.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports and FAT-related documentation, including alterations to machine capabilities, root cause analyses, energy and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA and internal EHS and other regulatory requirements.
