Job summary
Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer to join a high‑impact manufacturing team in the Atlanta area. You will troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime in an Allen-Bradley PLC environment.
The role involves cross‑functional collaboration, leading projects, and delivering FATs and technical documentation. Relocation assistance and a strong benefit package are available.
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related experience.
- Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider 2+ years.
- Experience in Allen-Bradley PLC environments and control design.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering and Production to support operations.
- Electrical troubleshooting on equipment from 24V to 480V control circuits; diagnose faults and restore operation.
- Provide controls engineering expertise for projects: specification, design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, troubleshooting.
- Lead projects and coordinate activities with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Prepare technical reports, FATs, and documentation for controls activities.
- Ensure safety compliance with OHSA and internal EHS standards.
