Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a highly capable Controls Engineer for our southwest Atlanta metro area manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime, in an Allen Bradley PLC environment.

You will collaborate across Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teams, leading projects from initiation through FAT, with strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience.
• Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years.
• Experience in an Allen Bradley PLC environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Mfg. Engineering, Technology, and Production.
• Electrical troubleshooting on equipment from 24V to 480V; diagnose faults and implement fixes.
• Support projects with controls engineering: design, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting.
• Lead projects: coordinate activities with internal departments, contractors, and vendors.
• Prepare technical reports and FAT documentation; note changes and energy optimization.
• Ensure safety compliance with OHSA and internal EHS standards.
