Job summary

Truist is seeking a Relationship Banker to provide industry leading client service in person and on the phone while expanding client relationships. The role includes cross training to perform teller duties and advising on consumer lending options to meet client needs.

The position emphasizes meeting service and branch sales targets, consultative selling, regulatory compliance, and willingness to travel or work extended hours as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background checks.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs and occasional overnights.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide industry leading client service in person and over the phone while developing client relationships.
• Offer financial solutions meeting client needs and refer to partners for growth opportunities.
• Cross train to perform required teller duties as needed.
• Maintain advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance and problem resolution.
• Contribute to meeting client service and branch sales targets by developing and retaining relationships.
• Approach consultative conversations and refer complex needs to internal specialists.
• Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies; stay updated on policy changes.
