Job summary

Hylant is seeking a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support the evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and relations with reinsurers. The role emphasizes compliance with company policies, accurate settlements, and clear communication across teams.

You will generate insightful reports, advise on statutory and reinsurance accounting, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining up-to-date SOPs with Captive Account Executives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in reinsurance accounting or similar financial area.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, Teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claim and reserves based on statements or bordereaux.
• Review and analyze reinsurance contracts for policy adherence.
• Manage processing and settlement of reinsurance claims.
• Generate reinsurance reports and conduct analysis for decision-making.
