Hylant is seeking a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support the evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and reinsurer relationships. You will help ensure policy compliance, efficient claim settlements, and generate insightful reports for informed decision-making.

The role requires review of contracts, settlement processing, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to drive improvements and provide guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years in reinsurance accounting or related finance.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical, financial accounting of premiums, claims and reserves based on statements of accounts or bordereaux.
• Review reinsurance contracts for policy and guideline adherence.
• Manage processing and settlement of reinsurance claims with accuracy and speed.
• Generate reinsurance reports and perform analyses to support decisions.
• Consult internal stakeholders on statutory and reinsurance accounting guidance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reinsurers.
• Drive process improvements and standardization; identify inefficiencies.
