Job summary

Hylant is seeking a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support the evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and relationships with reinsurers. This role ensures compliance with policies, efficient claim settlement, and effective communication with reinsurers.

You will generate insightful reinsurance reports and analyses to support informed decision-making within the organization, while collaborating with Captive Account Executives and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years in reinsurance accounting or similar financial area.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claim and reserves based on statements or bordereaux.
• Review and analyze reinsurance contracts for policy adherence.
• Manage processing and settlement of reinsurance claims with accuracy and efficiency.
• Generate reinsurance reports and perform analyses to support decision-making.
• Consult internal stakeholders on Statutory and Reinsurance Accounting guidance.
• Develop and maintain effective reinsurer relationships.
