Hylant, a family-owned insurance brokerage, seeks a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and reinsurer relationships. You will help ensure compliance with policies, settle claims efficiently, and generate insightful analyses for decision-making.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal stakeholders, development of processes, and ongoing training to stay current with systems and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in reinsurance accounting or similar financial area.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal English communication.
• Willingness to travel by car or air for meetings.

Responsabilités

• Prepare technical and financial accounting of premiums, claims, and reserves.
• Review reinsurance contracts for policy adherence.
• Process and settle reinsurance claims accurately.
• Generate reinsurance reports and analyses to support decisions.
• Advise internal stakeholders on statutory and reinsurance accounting.
• Maintain relationships with reinsurers.
• Support process improvement and standardization.
• Attend training and keep SOPs up to date.
• Assist with special projects as requested.
