Job summary

Hylant is seeking a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and reinsurer relationships. You will prepare technical financial accounting of premiums, claims, and reserves, ensuring compliance with policies and effective communication with reinsurers.

You will review contracts, process settlements with precision, generate reports, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3+ years of experience in reinsurance accounting, insurance or similar financial area.
• Proficiency in MS Office, primarily Excel, Outlook, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze reinsurance contracts to ensure adherence to policies.
• Manage processing and settlement of reinsurance claims with accuracy.
• Generate reinsurance reports and conduct analysis to support decisions.
• Consult internal stakeholders on statutory and reinsurance accounting guidance.
