Hylant, a leading US-based insurer, seeks a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and reinsurer relationships. You will prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claims, and reserves based on statements or bordereaux.

You will review contracts, process and settle claims, generate reports, advise stakeholders on accounting guidance, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in reinsurance accounting or a related financial area.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Fluent in English; willing to travel for meetings and conferences.

• Review and analyze reinsurance contracts for adherence to policies.
• Process and settle reinsurance claims accurately and efficiently.
• Generate reinsurance reports to support decision-making.
• Advise internal stakeholders on statutory and reinsurance accounting guidance.
