Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Float-Full Time team member to manage patient flow from entry to destination and to ensure timely, accurate, and professional service delivery.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, prior authorization, coordination of benefits, accurate patient registration and scheduling, handling incoming calls, and supporting departmental operations and safety standards across 9 clinic locations; must be flexible to work at any location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Preferred experience in medical office or customer service.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and patient registration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient flow from entry to destination and ensure timely, accurate, and professional service.
• Verify insurance, prior authorizations, and coordination of benefits.
• Collect information to generate complete and accurate financial and demographic records.
• Register patients accurately and schedule recurring appointments.
• Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately.
• Participate in departmental operations and performance‑improvement activities.
• Comply with infection control, equipment training, regulatory standards, and safety programs.
• Order, distribute, and maintain department supplies.
• Meet productivity, quality, and service standards to support departmental goals.
