Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy, consult physicians on therapy effectiveness, and serve as an advanced resource for the medical team.

The role offers a night shift from 7 pm to 7:30 am, eligible shift differential, and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within Mercy’s compassionate, collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER coworkers.
• ACLS preferred; critical care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy and acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing.
• Performs duties as assigned and supports a collaborative care environment.

Position Details:

Sign-On-Bonus incentive included up to $10,000

Shift:

Nightshift 7 pm - 7:30 AM

Eligible for Shift Differential!

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
