Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis - Respiratory department is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to perform direct patient care and consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. This night-shift role offers an up-to-$10,000 sign-on bonus and the opportunity to contribute as an advanced resource for the care team.

Qualified candidates will have a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, an active RCP license, and NBRC RRT credentials. ACLS preferred; PALS required for ER staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS certification required for ER staff.
• ACLS preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to meet physical demands (push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl).
• Prefer critical care experience.

• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.

Nightshift 7 pm - 7:30 AM

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
