Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, following physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a resource for physicians and nursing staff. The role includes night shifts with additional shift differential considerations.

Requirements include an RCP license, NBRC RRT credential, and a CoArc-approved program. ACLS is preferred; ER staff may require PALS.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC.
• For ER staff, PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands include push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.

Shift:

Nightshift 7 pm - 7:30 AM

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
