Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the night shift (7 pm–7:30 am). The role requires RCP licensure and NBRC-certified RRT; graduates of a CoArc-approved program are encouraged to apply.

You will deliver direct respiratory care, consult on therapy effectiveness, and support a collaborative care team. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered, with shift differential for night hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC). For ER, PALS is required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Experience: none; critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on therapy effectiveness.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff.
• Adheres to safety protocols and uses respiratory care devices properly.

Nightshift 7 pm - 7:30 AM

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
