Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. You will consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Shift is 7 pm–7 am with eligibility for shift differential and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Candidates should have RCP licensure, an ACLS credential, and NBRC RRT certification; PALS may be

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
