Job summary

Mercy Hospital, Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. The role requires an RRT credential, an RCP license, and ACLS is preferred.

The position offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am with eligible shift differential. No prior experience is required; candidate will join a team that values collaboration, bedside care, and ongoing patient support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER staff.
• No prior experience required (entry-level).

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
