Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care based on physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for the care team.

The role requires NBRC RRT credentials, CoARC-approved program completion, and licensure. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered. Shift is 7 pm–7 am with eligibility for shift differential.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC. For ER, PALS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
