BayCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER at St. Joseph’s Hospital South in Riverview, FL. This full-time position requires in-person work with variable shifts and an every-other-weekend commitment.

The RN will deliver compassionate, high-quality emergent care, perform nursing assessments, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.

Qualificações

• RN license required
• 1 year ER experience
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification (American Heart Association)

Responsabilidades

• Provides nursing care to ER patients following the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to health care team members
• Maintains patient safety by prioritizing and updating care plans with patient/family input
• Identifies at-risk patients and prepares their room environment accordingly
• Monitors vital signs, updates the care team on patient status and changes
• Responds to medical emergencies for critical patients and maintains composure

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
