Job summary

BayCare Health System's ER nursing role at St. Joseph’s Hospital North in Lutz, FL seeks an experienced RN to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

You will work 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, every other weekend, in person, with opportunities for growth and ongoing clinical mentorship within a large hospital network.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 1 year ER RN experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care in a hospital ER using the nursing process.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to health care team members.
• Organize and update plans of care in collaboration with patients and families.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and support staff to ensure quality of care.

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patientsHigh emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
