BayCare in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER at St. Anthony’s Hospital. You will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting, following the nursing process and collaborating with the care team.

The role requires an RN license, nursing degree, and ER experience; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. This full-time position includes benefits, on-site work, and opportunities for growth within BayCare's network.

• Location: St. Anthony’s Hospital -1200 7 th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL
• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 2:45 PM - 3:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
