Job summary

BayCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room at Bartow Regional Medical Center. This full-time role requires active RN licensure, a nursing degree, and at least 1 year of ER experience.

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include direct patient care, care planning with families, and rapid response to emergencies, all while upholding BayCare’s standards and commitment to

Qualifications

• 1 year ER nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to ER patients using nursing process.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to health care team members.
• Collaborate with patients and families to plan and update care.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition.
• Identify risks and ensure safe room setup and sanitation.
• Respond to medical emergencies in the ER.
• Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development.

• Location: Bartow Regional Medical Center – 2200 Osprey Blvd, Bartow, FL
• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 10:45 AM – 11:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
