Job summary

BayCare Health System in Riverview, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our ER team. This full-time role requires working 2:45 PM to 3:15 AM and every other weekend, with in-person care at St. Joseph’s Hospital South.

You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with the health care team, monitor vitals, respond to emergencies, and uphold clinical standards. Must hold RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in the state
• Diploma/Associates/Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing
• 1 year ER nursing experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required/unexpired

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER using the nursing process
• Delegate appropriate care activities to health care team members
• Plan and update the care plan with patients and families
• Identify patients at risk and prepare room environments
• Monitor vitals and update care team on patient status
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Communicate clearly to create a positive patient care experience
• Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association
