Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER at St. Joseph’s Hospital North in Florida. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and work with a multidisciplinary team in a high-paced environment.

Requirements include RN license, nursing degree, 1 year ER experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. This in-person role offers full-time hours, on-site teamwork, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN License required.
• Diploma/Associate’s/Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing.
• 1 year ER nursing experience.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provide care using nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate patient care activities to health-care team members.
• Organize and update care plans with patients and families.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 2:45 PM - 3:15 AM
• Every other weekend
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
