BayCare in Riverview, FL is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) at St. Joseph’s Hospital South. The role requires an RN license, nursing degree, and active BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. You’ll provide compassionate, expert care in a fast-paced hospital ER, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and supporting patients and families.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor in Nursing accepted.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the ER using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate care activities to health care team members as appropriate.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
