Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. The role requires 1 year of ER experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. You will provide compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, coordinating with the health care team, and responding to emergencies. In-person, full-time with every-other-weekend shifts, benefits included.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
