Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ER at Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin, FL. This full-time position requires dedication to compassionate patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will work a 9:45 AM to 10:15 PM shift, with every other weekend required and no on-call duties. In-person work is mandatory, ensuring the highest level of patient interaction and safety.

Qualifications

• RN License is required and active.
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing.
• 1 year ER nursing experience strongly preferred.
• BLS certification from ARC or AHA.
• ACLS certification from ARC or AHA.
• PALS certification from ARC or AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a hospital ER setting.
• Delegate tasks to health care team members as appropriate.
• Plan and update patient care in collaboration with patients and families.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

• 1-year registered nurse ER experience

• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others

• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment

• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients

• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
