Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, FL. This full-time position requires ER expertise and a strong focus on patient-centered care.

The RN will assess patients, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and respond to emergencies with professional accountability and empathy. Mease Countryside Hospital offers extensive training, growth opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active.
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or higher in Nursing.
• 1 year ER RN experience.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA).
• ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the ER setting in alignment with the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to health-care team members.
• Assess and monitor patient condition, update care plans, and communicate changes to the team.

• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 2:45 PM -3:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
