Job summary

BayCare Health System in Bartow, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for ER care. You will provide direct patient care in a hospital setting, develop and update care plans, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This role requires an active RN license, ER experience, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. The position is full-time and in-person, with shifts and weekend requirements as noted.

• Location: Bartow Regional Medical Center – 2200 Osprey Blvd, Bartow, FL
• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 10:45 AM – 11:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• 1-year registered nurse ER experience
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – Responsibilities And Skills

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
