BayCare Health System in Tampa is seeking a Registered Nurse for ER Nights. You will provide high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and outcomes.

Requirements include an RN license, 1 year ER experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. The role emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and opportunities for career growth within a large health system.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of registered nurse ER experience required.
• RN license in good standing required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care in the ER using nursing processes and clinical standards.
• Delegate care activities to other health team members as appropriate.
• Organize and update care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
• Identify patients at risk and prepare the room and environment accordingly.
• Monitor vitals, document assessments, and notice changes in condition.
• Respond quickly to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Explain medical information clearly to patients to support understanding.
• Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development.

• Location: St. Joseph’s Hospital - 3001 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL

• Status: Full Time

• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

• Weekend requirement – every other weekend

• On Call: No

• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

• 1 year registered nurse ER experience

• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

• PALS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others

• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment

• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients

• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
