Ascension’s St. Vincent Medical Group in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Endocrinology Department.

This full-time, day-shift role focuses on implementing and monitoring patient care plans and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care. You will discharge planning with the healthcare team, document orders, and provide compassionate nursing care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credential from Indiana Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider or Instructor certification within 1 month of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • One or more of the following:
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
