Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis is seeking an experienced RN to join the Advanced Heart Care team in Indianapolis, IN. The role covers a 48-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit with emphasis on adult cardiac disease management.

You will provide perioperative and post-procedural care, support pacemaker/ICD procedures, and contribute to pre-surgical care for major cardiac surgeries. A strong preference for hospital experience is noted.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• Registered Nurse with Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Care for adults in a 48-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit.
• Manage care for heart failure, arrhythmias, CAD, ACS, STEMI and pulmonary hypertension.
• Support procedures for pacemaker/defibrillator placements and post-catheterization care.
• Provide pre-surgical care for VAD, CABG and heart transplants; treat hypertensive crises.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• 48-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit specializing in adult cardiac disease management.
• Joint Commission Certified in Advanced Heart Failure Care.
• Treats conditions including Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, CAD, ACS, STEMI, and Pulmonary Hypertension.
• Manages procedural care for Pacemaker/Defibrillator placements and post-catheterization coronary interventions.
• Provides pre-surgical care for VAD, CABG, and heart transplants, as well as treatment for hypertensive crises.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
