Ascension St Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a dedicated RN for full-time day shifts in the Emergency Department. You will deliver direct patient care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure timely, safe care.

You will implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and help coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire date.
• Registered Nurse credential from Indiana Board of Nursing.
• ACLS or PALS certification required within specified timeframe.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
